Obituary of Deborah Madden-Sofield

Deborah Madden Sofield Debbi Madden Sofield, 46, of Morristown, NJ, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Clara Maas Medical Center, Newark, after a short illness. Debbi was born in Bernardsville, NJ but she lived in Morristown, NJ for the past 44 years. She graduated Purnell High School, Pottersville, in 1983 and graduated the College of St. Elizabeth with a BS in education in 1987. She also received her master's degree in special education at Farleigh Dickenson in 1998. Debbi worked at Morris Plains County Day School for approximately 5 years and then as a teacher for the Morris School District for 5 years. Debbi loved spending her summers in her family home in Cape May, NJ and vacations in Aruba and Disney World. Debbi was known to all as a sweet, kind and caring woman and she embraced the short time that she had to be a full-time Mommy to her son Sean, 2 years old. Debbi is pre-deceased by her Mother, Suzanne H. Madden, her brother Michael (10 months ago), and her Father, John L Madden, Sr. (7 months ago). Debbi is survived by her loving husband of 7 years, Skip (Clarence), her beautiful son Sean Patrick, two brothers, Glenn Madden of Bedminster and John Jr. and his wife Barbara of Middlesex and her sister Suzanne Madden Jones and her husband Anthony of Orsay, France. She also has 5 loving nieces, Lauren, CA, Allison, Hillsborough, Kaitlyn, Albany, NY and Elianna and Marissa Madden Jones, Orsay France and her nephew Kyle, Middlesex. She is also survived by her very close relations, Judy Young and Betty Loehr, who loved her very much and some very special close friends. A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Bernardsville, NJ.
