Obituary of Marion E. Johnson

Marion E. Johnson, 100, of Bedminster Twp passed away August 18th, 2011 at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, NJ. Daughter of the late Harry & Elizabeth Maher Gaw, she was born in Irvington and resided in Bernardsville, NJ until 1967 when she moved to Bedminster. She graduated Bernards High School Class of 1929 and was a long time member of St. Bernard's Episcopal Church, joining in 1926. Marion was a former member of the Business and Professions Woman's Club, Bernardsville, NJ. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Fireman's Fund in Newark, retiring in 1971. She is survived by her nephews Terrence Gaw of Arlington, VA, Douglas Roper of Raphine, VA, Richard Roper of New Canaan, CT, Andrew Roper Willimgton, NC and her nieces Leslie Rowland of Kingsland, GA, Patricia Heenan of Arlington, VA and Kathleen Gaw of Culpepper, VA. She is predeceased by her husband the Late Olof C Johnson. Relatives and Friends may visit on Saturday August 27th from 10 AM until service time at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM at the Funeral Home.
