Obituary of Matthew R. Parisi

Matthew Richard Parisi died on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the age of 83 He leaves behind two children, Dr. Richard A Parisi of Moseley, VA and Mrs. Carol Parisi Leddy of Basking Ridge, NJ, eight grandchildren, Arthur, Michael, Matthew, Ryan and Hailey Parisi and Shawn, Bryan and Kyle Leddy, and a sister, Barbara Trimiglozzi. He was the son of Dr. Anthony Parisi and Rose Parisi, brother of the late Dr. Anthony Parisi, Jr., father of the late Robert A Parisi, and devoted husband of the late Marion Armbruster Parisi. He attended Seton Hall Preparatory School and Seton Hall College, served in the U.S. Army in post-WW II Europe, and was a successful businessman who spent most of his years working in the publishing and direct mail marketing industry in New York City. He also founded several businesses, including Great American Magazines and National List Protection System, and he was an amateur inventor. Dick was an avid golfer and a long-time member of Rockaway River Country Club in Denville, NJ. More recently he enjoyed playing golf and cards with good friends at Mariner Sands in Stuart FL, where he had retired with Marion. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 9th, 2011 at 10 AM at The Church of St. James, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Relatives and Friends may visit on Monday August 8th, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ.
