William C. Moose, 67, of Bernardsville passed away on July 25th, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Bernardsville, William graduated Bernards High School in 1962. He then joined the US Air Force in 1963 as an Airman First Class until 1967. During his time in the Airforce, he received numbers awards, including the Presidential Unit Citation. After his time in the Air Force, William served as a Police officer for the Bernardsville Police Department for 15 years. He was a Silver Life Member of the PBA and a member of American Legion Post 216. He also was a charter member of the VFW Post 7858. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Gail, his children Shari and Katie Moose, brother James & his wife Janet of Bernardsville, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Great-Aunt Margaret Cappola of Bernardsville, NJ. A funeral service will be held 10AM on Thursday July 28th, 2011 at St. Bernard's Church, 88 Claremont Rd Bernardsville, NJ.
