Obituary of Ellsworth M. Shafto,III

Ellsworth McElwee Shafto III died May 24, 2011, after a long illness. He was 79 years old, having been born May 27, 1931, in Passaic, NJ. He attended Columbia University and then served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He was married to Gloria Rae Bancale of Brooklyn for 56 years. They brought up their five children in West Orange and Livingston, NJ. Shafto made his career on Wall Street trading municipal bonds institutionally. He is survived by his wife Gloria, their five children and 10 grandchildren.
