Mr. Joseph E. O'Keefe, 85, of Bernardsville died on Sunday March 6th, 2011 at Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen, NY. Born in Worcester, MA, Mr. O'Keefe lived in the Bernardsville area for over 45 years. He retired from Sears as a store manager, in 1988. In 1989 Joseph was ordained as a Deacon in the Catholic Church and was a member, communicant and Deacon of The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bernardsville, NJ. Mr. O' Keefe was married to the late Anne Cleary O'Keefe. Surviving are, sister, Margaret Montague, brothers, Hugh and Michael O' Keefe, a son Dr. Arthur F. (Mary) O'Keefe of Concord, CA, daughters Maureen O. Plain (Stephen) of Middletown, NY, Joanne O. Middlesworth of Wauconda, IL; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday March 12, 2011 at The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. Friends and Relatives are invited to visit at The Church of Our Lady Perpetual Help from 3-9 PM Friday March 11th.
