Michael Kuzmak Jr.
Michael Kuzmak, formerly of Korn Krest, Hanover Township Pa., Levittown, Pa., as well as Bernardsville, NJ. Passed away at age 89 on February 9, 2011.
He was a 1939 graduate of Hanover Township High School and of Wilkes College class of 1954. He was married to the former Marie Mc Laughlin who preceded him in death in 2005 after 62 years of marriage.
He was extremely proud of joining the U.S. Navy as an Apprentice Seaman and being discharged as a Warrant Officer.
During WWII, he served on three vessels operating in the South Pacific for most of the duration of the war, where he received a letter of Meritorious Conduct while under enemy fire.
He is survived by his brother John of Detroit Michigan, daughter Helenann Quinn and husband Andrew of Freehold, NJ, a son Michael III and wife Carol of Fernandina Beach, Fl., a granddaughter, Aileen Quinn, who starred in the Columbia Pictures film "Annie", granddaughter Lori Hardee and husband Jefferson of Raleigh, NC, grandson Andrew Quinn III and wife Theresa of Bridgewater, NJ, grandson Michael Kuzmak of Fernandina Beach, Fl, great granddaughter Fiona Marie Quinn and great grandson Ronan Sullivan Quinn both from Bridgewater, NJ.
A liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Seney Drive in Bernardsville, NJ on Tuesday February 15, 2011. Interment will be on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 11AM in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery Dallas, Pa.
