From what I remember as a child, the Brown's home was always welcoming. It was warm, cosy, and filled with toys in the basement. If that is any window of him and his family, then it's clear that Mr. Brown was the most if not the proprietor of such emotions. I remember my mom and dad always laughing with him. We never left their house without a smile.

He is the best grandpa anyone could ever ask for! I'm so lucky to have had 24 years with him. He taught me so much and left me with the most wonderful memories. Now he is watching over all of us (and probably getting in a round of golf in his spare time!)

We were introduced to Mr. Brown through his daughter, Kathryn, and he became known to us as Mr. B and ‘ol Bob. Mr. B and his family took us “into” their family and Mr. B became our surrogate father in New Jersey. He introduced us to skiing in Winter Park, Colorado. We would be at the top of the mountain with Mr. B in the lead and the rest of us following him down the trail. After skiing, we would return to the “ranch” for drinks, guacamole, later dinner and a bit of our version of trivial pursuit with Mr. B reading the questions and the rest of us trying to answer. Just before bedtime, Mr. B and Barry would have a shot of frozen Stoli vodka. At breakfast the next morning, Mr. B was always the second up, after Jo Marie. He would begin making breakfast for all of us, bacon, ranch eggs, muffins with and without nuts, toast and coffee and tea. On days when some kids were in the house, he would make the Mickey Mouse pancakes for them. The day always started off with a great breakfast.
Mr. B loved to play golf. We played at the Mendham Country Club in NJ and then traveled with them to Pinehurst, North Carolina, the golf capital of the US. Through his interests in travel and exploration, he got us interested in the location that we have eventually retired and built a home on Longleaf Country Club next door to Pinehurst. Over time we were introduced to many, many things, including symphonies, local concerts outdoors watching fireworks afterward, the steeplechase races in Bedminster with tailgating, and speaking of tailgating, a number of New York Giants football games.
He has been a big part of our life and although we will miss him dearly, he will always remain with us in our hearts, feelings and fond memories of so many wonderful times.

While I only met Mr. Brown on a couple of occasions...once being when I picked up Mr. & Mrs. Brown and Kathy during a snowstorm to drop them off at Newark airport...I have known his daughter Kathy for almost 25 years.
I have witnessed the devotion she has shown to her father's care, every day without fail, for the last 2 1/2 years.
Obviously, a labor of love, freely given, by a daughter who knew how much she was loved and cherished by her father, in turn.

I first met Mr and Mrs Brown when Bob Jr and I were students at CU . They had allowed Bob and Kathy to bring friends along on the annual Christmas holiday ski trip to Aspen. Over the next few years we were at CU I joined the Brown family at Winter Park and would see see Mr Brown at a CU game in Boulder. I will never forget the generosity of Mr Brown. Mr Brown was a kind soul and I will miss him.
My prayers are with Mrs Brown, Bob, Kathy,Jim and all of the family ,members left behind.
