GLORIA E. McGOWAN Gloria E. McGowan, age 83, died on January 8, 2011, in Lansdale, PA. Mrs. McGowan was born in Philadelphia and was raised in the Bronx, NY. She was a graduate of Mount St. Ursula Academy in the Bronx and Berkeley Business School in New York City. She lived in Kew Gardens, NY, Garden City, NY, Livingston, NJ, and Morristown, NJ before moving to Florida in 1987. She lived in Stuart and Vero Beach, Florida before moving to Lansdale in 2009. She and her husband were former members of Spring Brook County Club in Morristown and Mariner Sands Golf and Country Club in Stuart. She is survived by John W. McGowan Jr. of Lansdale, her husband of 61 years, by her daughter, Margaret Kohler of Long Valley, her sons, John III of Basking Ridge and James of Mason, Ohio, and by seven grandchildren, Brian Kohler, Leigh, Michael, Kaitlyn, John, William, and Andrew McGowan.
