My fondest memories of Brad go back to the start of my professional career as an MTS at Bell Laboratories in Holmdel in 1971,. As my Department Head, Brad inspired me to make a career in the field of "data science" (then called applied statistics),
in which he himself was an active contributor. I owe much of the enjoyment and fulfillment in my career to his early leadership and encouragement.
My heartfelt condolences to his family.
