Dear Jim, Gail, Jeff and Nancy & Family...
I was just thinking of your Mom 3 days ago.
I'll always remember her big smile and wide eyes and how she gave me attention when I was in the room with her. She had a way of making me feel as though I mattered to her. I always appreciated that in her. I will always remember the Birthday parties in M.P., the roar of laughter coming from upstairs while us kids played in your basement behind that bar! Time has gone by so quickly, as they say and all our lives have taken many turns. I'd like to think that one day we'll be together again and watch NaNa blow out candles on another Birthday cake while your Mom watches over with her big smile! It's funny... we just moved and while unpacking I happen to glance down into one of hundreds of boxes of all sorts of things and there looking up at me was a photo of your Mom! Other papers were covering the other people in the photo just enough to only show her face! She was wearing her big smile in that photo too!
May God give each of you exactly what you need at the moment you need it. Life is fast... I remember Nancy saying to me years ago... "Oh yea, we lost Uncle Vic too". So much was happening with her husband and your Dad and my Dad.
I pray the coming days will bring a smile to your heart as you feel sad... just remember and know that your Mom made a difference in my life. It might have been a small one because we did not see her all that much, but as good things come in small packages, so does the little things in life that one holds in their heart, like your Mom giving me her attention when we were together.
