Obituary of Laverne K. Phelps

Laverne K. Phelps, 87, of Basking Ridge, died November 24, 2010 at Holly Manor in Mendham, NJ. Born in Sacramento, California; she resided in Basking Ridge for the last 45 years. Mrs. Phelps, the widow of A. James Phelps who died in 1974, belonged to the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church. She leaves a son, James Michael Phelps of New Hampshire, two daughters, Janis Lee Phelps of Mill Valley, CA., and Joanne Moody of Flemington, N.J. as well as three grandchildren; Krista Moody, Kyle Moody and Jillian Phelps. Arrangements are by Galloway & Crane funeral home, Basking Ridge. The memorial service will be held at the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church at 3:30 PM on Friday, December 3rd with a reception following at the Old Mill Inn, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the A. James and Laverne K. Phelps memorial fund, Bernards Township Library, 32 S. Maple Ave., Basking Ridge, N.J.
