Pat and I were deeply saddened upon hearing of John’s passing thru a mutual friend and school chum, Al Barsa. John and I were close in High School and both served on the “Traffic Club”.
After High school we followed different paths, he to Princeton, and me to Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Then in the early 90’s, I believe, we reconnected when I found myself unemployed and solely thru John’s effort secured a job at The Mennen Company, one of the best jobs I ever had.
John was soft spoken, kind and caring and I always considered him a good friend, even though intellectually we were in different leagues. John was brilliant and I- well average.
I always kidded him about the fact that he overwhelmed my learning capacity and “ Never took a book home but managed to get all “A”s. I struggled for “B”s and “C”s.
You may remember, I visited your home when Sasha and Triston were quite young.
Please accept Pat and my sympathies on John’s passing. I know he will be sorely missed by friends and family. Hopefully, I look forward to seeing him again when we can relive old times together.
