Obituary of Anna O’Krogly

Our dear mother, Anna Partash O'Krogly of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away early on Saturday, September 30th at the age of 100 years. Anna was born in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1922.  She was married to the love of her life Edward O’Krogly on November 30, 1940 and remained so for 62 years until his passing. Anna loved her gardening year-round; when it snowed she came out there ‘shoveling up a storm’.


She raised 7 children: son, Lawrence preceded her.  Other children are Benjamin of Bedminster, NJ, Robert (Terrie) of Granville Summit, PA, Elizabeth Howley of Mendham NJ, Michael (Patricia) of Branchburg, NJ, Anna Marie (Daniel) Brockington of Riegelsville, PA, and Michele (Michael) Gray of Easton, PA, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.


Anna was very proud of her several visits to Ukraine to visit cousins and where her father was born. Visitation will be held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
