Obituary of Florence A Ginnie

Florence ("Maga") Anne Ginnie, one of God's sweetest angels, was called home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, after thriving 98 years. 55 years widowed, she is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband.

Florence was born on July 27, 1925 in Bernardsville, NJ to the late Joseph and Lorenza "Marinelli" Morea. In her younger years, Florence served as a prison guard during World War II at U.S. Army Picatinny Arsenal. Later she went on to meet the love of her life, Frank Ginnie, and they were united in holy matrimony on September 8, 1946. Together they started a family in her hometown of Bernardsville, NJ and successfully ran their own business, Frank's Market, in Peapack Gladstone, NJ.

Family was everything to Florence, and when you were in her home, she made everyone feel like part of her family. Her comforting presence, loving demeanor, witty personality, contagious laughter and authentic Italian cooking made an impact on everyone she encountered. She was truly one of a kind.

Florence loved spending quality time with her two sons and two granddaughters. Being there for her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys in life.

Florence is survived by her son, John Ginnie and his fiancé, Dorothy, and her son Frank Ginnie Jr. and his wife, Karen; sister, Joann Camillucci; grandchildren, Lorenza Ginnie and Marella Ginnie, and a Great Grandson, Giovanni. In addition to her husband, Frank, Florence was preceded in death by her brothers Armando and Joseph and sisters Helen, Edie, Mary, Katie and Sally.

A celebration of life will be held for Florence at a later date.
