Obituary of David J Ammean

David J. Ammean (2/9/1960 – 10/25/2023) a lifelong resident of Bernardsville died peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Dave, a graduate of Bernards High, went on to own his own landscaping business.  Retiring from that he dabbled very successfully in the stock market.  He had many hobbies and interests, among them his love of riding his motorcycle on beautiful days on the open road.  He was an outdoors man always preferring to be out with nature, at the beach or in the country.  He loved animals, both wild and domestic. Dave had a real talent for working on cars, and he enjoyed helping his dad in construction.  He was an avid reader, studying finance and the economy.

He and his friends often played the tables in Atlantic City.  They loved visiting casinos in the tri-state area. They enjoyed sampling the fine dining in these areas.

He was always willing to help others; he spent his last week in the hospital comforting those around him.

Dave is predeceased by his sister JoAnne and his parents David, Sr. and Josephine Ammean.  His sister Brenda, with whom he was very close, mourns the loss of her big brother.  Also, mourning the loss of Dave are his cousins and close friends.

Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ.
