Obituary of Margaret A Greenway

Margaret A. Greenway, nee Manley,  of Harding Township passed away Wednesday June 21

Margaret, an Illinois native who moved to Harding Township 32 years ago with husband Roger Greenway.

Margaret graduated near the top of her class from the University of Illinois and went on to pursue graduate degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language, Computer Science, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before retirement from Deloitte where she was a managing director, she shared her knowledge and talent with AT&T.

To meet Margaret was to know her, always completely honest, and clear on her beliefs.  Some of her many interests were reading, spending time in nature, bird-watching, photography, music, and supporting the arts.  She cared strongly about setting a good example for strong women, making sure her life lessons passed down to her nieces, children and grandchildren. She was passionate about helping those less fortunate and gave generously of her time and talent and financial resources to environmental and social justice organizations.

She was very active in the  life of the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church where she participated in a number of small study groups, and served as a Deacon, delivering food and flowers to those in the community who were faced with special needs.

Margaret is survived by her husband Roger, her children Douglas and Christy Greenway living in Berkeley Heights NJ, Sarah, and Scott Askey living in Stavanger Norway, Nieces Emily and Grace Delacruz, Four grandsons Thor Askey, Orion Askey, Caius Askey, Marcus Greenway and 1 granddaughter Sylvia Greenway.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church or the Environmental Not for Profit of your choice would be appreciated
