Obituary of Diane DeSanto

Diane Romano DeSanto, 88, a resident of Bernardsville, New Jersey, passed away in her home on August 21, 2017 surrounded by family. Diane was born in Chicago, Illinois as Diane Romano to now deceased parents, Sam and Lena Romano. She survived her loving husband, Paul John DeSanto and her brother, Joseph Romano. She leaves behind four daughters and sons in law, Dana and Norman Litwack, Jona and Lee Shaouy, Tara DeSanto and Lora DeSanto and Paul Butler; her seven grandchildren: Philip and Natalie Shaouy, Zachary and Lauren Litwack, Paul Karam, Matthew and Jack Butler. Diane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she learned to enjoy country life with her husband in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania where they raised their children. She lived there over 50 years. She and her husband also wintered in Jensen Beach, Florida, where they enjoyed golf, beach and wonderful friendships. Diane was an amazing woman, strong-willed and independent. Above all, extremely loving and always elegant. She will be deeply missed. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017, 11:00 am at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main Street, Peapack, New Jersey.
