Alice Goodwin of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on May 8, 2026. She

was 74 years old. Alice grew up in Chester, NJ before making her home in

Basking Ridge more than 40 years ago. Alice, also known as Alexis to

many, is the daughter of the late and beloved Benjamin and Edna

Goodwin.

Alexis earned a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Ithaca

College in New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude. For most of her

career, Alexis worked for Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Executive

Assistant and for Actium Corporation as an Administrative Assistant, also

spending some time as an Independent Realtor.

Alexis enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and watching families of foxes

play in her backyard, and she often visited friends in New York City to

attend Broadway Shows. Alexis was involved in various clubs and enjoyed

lunch dates with her many friends. Perhaps most of all, Alexis had a

passion for traveling with friends all over the world to places like Iceland,

France and Africa to name a few. She was the kindest and sweetest person

and will be missed by her family and many good friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life on Friday, June

19 th at 10:00am at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Chapel

Mausoleum, Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Alexis’ name to the

Liberty Corner First Aid Squad or a charity of one’s choice.
