Gladys Sabarese, age 90, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 8, 2026, surrounded by the family she spent her life building and nurturing and her friends and caregivers at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, where she had resided for 11 years.

 Mom/Grandma/GreatMa, as she was known to her 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, was a woman of quiet strength and endless warmth who always brought a positive attitude and big smile to any situation.  She was loved and cherished by her friends at Fellowship Village who she loved and cherished in return.  She spent her ninedecades finding joy in the simple things: enjoying her friends at the diner, crocheting beautiful blankets for all her grand and great grand babies, and spending time with all her children and grandchildren.  Her legacy isn't found in awards or titles, but in the kindness and joy she bestowed and the love she shared so generously with everyone.  She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in the stories we tell, the fond memories we hold and the traditions we carry forward.

Visitstion will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 from 3:00 - 6:00pm. Burial will be private for the family.
