I was probably what you would call a "Jimmy" groupee as every time I saw him, he'd have to tell me a story about the town, or things he remembered growing up in town. From the dozing of Route 287, to his fun at the sandpit, he'd always be there to tell a good story. Every once in a while I'd catch Jim there at Brush's with his posse holding court almost every day. My 5 min deli stop would turn into an hour almost every time. Writing for the Mr. Local History Project, I researched many of his tales which did pan out to great stories.
