Barbra Ann Lighthipe Allen, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, on Friday February 6, 2026.

Barbra was born on April 10, 1941, in Bloomfield, New Jersey to Vera Dobbs Lighthipe and Charles Herbert Lighthipe. She was the eldest of three children. While living in Bernardsville as a teenager, she met the love of her life, William L. Allen. After graduating from Bernards High School in 1959, Barbra and Bill built a life together in Bernards Township, where they raised their three children.

During those years, Barbra worked for Gallaway Realtors for 20 years before retiring. In retirement, she and Bill traveled extensively throughout the United States in their motor home and spent many years vacationing in St Martin, and Maine. Particularly Sand Bar Island, Maine always held a special place in their hearts.

Barbra is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, William L. Allen; her children Scott Allen (Cristy) of Queen Creek, Arizona, Wendy Davis (Jim) of Bernardsville, NJ and Will Allen (Michelle) of Bernards Township, NJ; her sister, Verna Banks, brother Charles Lighthipe; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday February 13, 2026, from 10:00am-12 noon at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ followed immediately by a funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
