Francis “Frank” T. Ferrante, 79, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 at Morristown Medical Center.
Frank was the beloved husband of Kathleen “Kitty” Ferrante, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage built on devotion, partnership, and family.
Frank was a proud and loving father to five children: Thomas Ferrante and his wife Donna; Juliana Vogt and her husband Ward; Charles Ferrante and his wife Tina; Kathleen Ferrante and her soulmate Ron; and Karen Ferrante and her soulmate Scott. He was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, roles that brought him deep joy and pride.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Antionette Ferrante and his brother Louis. He is survived by his sister Mary Ferrante, his sister-in-law Barbara Ferrante and many nieces and nephews.
A man of unwavering service, Frank was a decorated volunteer firefighter with Bernardsville Fire Company No. 1, beginning his service in 1967. His decades of dedication, courage, and leadership left a lasting mark on the community he proudly served.
Frank was an accomplished electrical engineer, a proud graduate of NCE, and the owner of his own business. Widely regarded as an electrical genius, he was known for his integrity, sharp mind, and exceptional ability to solve even the most complex electrical problems.
A man of deep faith, Frank was a devoted, lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bernardsville. He actively served his parish as a member of the choir, the Nocturnal Adoration Society, and as a faithful usher, living his faith through service.
Frank will be remembered for his quiet strength, generosity, dedication to family, and lifelong commitment to helping others. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the community he served, and the countless lives touched by his kindness and service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Bernardsville Fire Company No. 1 and School of Saint Elizabeth, Bernardsville.
Visitation will be held on Sat. Jan. 24 from 1-4 at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge. A funeral Mass will be held for Frank at a later date.
