Emmalee Mara Engleman (“Emmy”) was granted her angel wings on December 10th, 2025, at the age of seven, following a courageous six-month battle with Diffuse Midline Glioma.

Emmalee was born on December 30th, 2017, in Cranford, NJ, to her loving parents Beth and Jeff Engleman.  The family later relocated to Bridgewater, NJ in 2019, where she grew into the vibrant, spirited little girl who we all know and love.

At home, she was equal parts sweet and spicy, the life of every party.  At school she was known as a friend to all, her contagious laughter earned her the nickname “Giggles”.  Her favorite activities were swimming, dancing, riding her bike, and playing Animal Crossing.  She loved all things pink and had an ever growing collection of stuffed animals and tiny treasures.

Emmalee was an old soul and she loved hard. She was intelligent, funny, thoughtful and kind to anyone she came into contact with.  She dreamed of being a teacher or scientist.

Emmalee’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving parents, Beth and Jeff; her sister, Alexis; her grandmothers Fran, Nati, and Vicky; her grandfathers Larry and Spiro; her uncles Larry and Jeremy; her aunts Katie and Melanie; her cousins Nora and Haddie; as well as her adopted aunts Kate, Sam, and Jen; and of course her best friends Matthew, Emilia, and Dareen as well as the countless other friends Emmalee has made throughout the years. Emmalee is predeceased by her grandmother, Mara and her great-grandmother, Beverley.

Please join our family in honoring and celebrating her bright and beautiful life. In remembrance of Emmalee’s favorite color, please wear an accent of pink.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the NoahBRAVE Foundation.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 3:00 - 7:00pm with a service at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be private for the family. 

May her laughter, her kindness, and her pink-tinted joy continue to light our world.
