Anthony “Tony” Ferrante, 80, of Bernardsville, NJ, passed away on August 8th, 2025 in Morristown, NJ.

Born in Bernardsville, NJ to Michael and Emma on October 5th, 1944, Tony attended Bernards High School and graduated in 1964. After high school, he was drafted and served in the Vietnam war as an operating engineer in the US Army.

Tony was self-employed as a contractor, operating T. Ferrante Contractor for over 50 years. He enjoyed vacations with his family to Marco Island, Florida and going to the beach at the Jersey Shore. He was a life member of the original Honor Guard of VFW Post 7858. 

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl of Bernardsville, NJ; adored daughter Danielle Ferrante and son in law Anthony Surace; brothers, Michael Ferrante, Alphonse Ferrante and wife Alice; Julio Ferrante and his wife June; sisters Anna Budesheim and her husband (George Budesheim-Deceased); Linda Pavao and her husband Al; large extended family of brothers in laws and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, great and great, great nieces and nephews and many, many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Shirley Bulaskas and husband Joe: Jean Farneski and husband Bob; Joyce Cusic and husband Dave.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 11th from 4-7pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on August 12th at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge, NJ.
