Charles Hoiles passed away on August 2, 2025 at his home in Basking Ridge. He was 89 years old.

A Memorial Mass will be held at The Church of Christ the King in New Vernon, NJ on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 am. A gathering of friends will follow the service at our home, 153 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. 

Charles was born in New York City to Charles and Florence Hoiles on April 9, 1936. He grew up in Chatham, NJ where he went to high school and graduated in 1954. He studied at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ where he continued his love of history and literature. He worked tirelessly at Anheuser-Busch for 38 years. Following his retirement, he worked at Griffin & Howe in Bernardsville, where he was able to share his passion for shooting and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Sally, children Suellen Tunney, William, and Meredith, and his grandchildren, Beatrice, Delilah, and Penelope Tunney. For further information or to leave a condolence message please visit www.gcfuneralhome.com
