It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Blake White Harvey, Sr. on July 7, 2025.

Blake was born in Princeton, NJ to Jack and Medora Harvey. He grew up in New Canaan, CT and spent time on the family farm in Hopewell Valley, NJ as well as Captiva Island, FL. Blake was predeceased by his parents and loving brothers Ned and Todd.   

Blake approached life with enthusiasm and vigor. He was quick witted and loved to share stories of his crazy adventures with family and friends. We will always remember his sense of humor and laughter. 

He had a love for many forms of art as he acted in plays, collected and sold art, and played several instruments including guitar, harmonica and drums. He also loved the ocean and enjoyed many memories of fishing and sailing. 

Blake will be missed by his wife, Kathleen; his sons, Jake and Weston; his daughter, Skylar; his sister, Heather Ivey; his Uncle Peter Moock, his in-laws, Al Witheridge, Allen and Carol Witheridge, John and Ann Marie Witheridge; his nieces, Lydia, Emily, Vanessa, Julie; and his nephews, Colin and William, as well as numerous cousins and friends, all of whom he loved and cherished. 

You are welcome to join us as we pay our respects on Friday, July 18th from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon with a memorial service beginning at 11:30 am at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home.
