James F. Flood, from New Providence, New Jersey passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Jim is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his two daughters, Suzy and Linda, and his six beloved grandchildren.
Born on April 16, 1937, Jim was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended high school at Germantown Academy and graduated from Gettysburg College in 1959. At Gettysburg, Jim was member of both the Football and Lacrosse teams, and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He met Marilyn in college, and they would later marry in 1960. After graduating, he began his career as a Salesman at Colgate-Palmolive, where he remained for the duration of his career, until he retired in 1998.
Jim had a great passion for photography, which began in his teenage years. He was a member of The Society of American Magicians, and performed for many groups, children’s parties, and entertained family and friends. Jim was a member of Millington Baptist Church where he served as an elder. He served at Market Street Mission, in Morristown, New Jersey, eventually becoming a board member.
Above all, he was very devoted to his family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A service celebrating Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 11 am at Millington Baptist Church, 520 King George Road, Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
