Remzi Dautaj, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on June 7th, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family. A degreed Electrical Engineer and Albanian-American businessman, Remzi was a well-known and respected figure within the Albanian community in the United States and beyond.

Born on April 1, 1957, in Pejë, Kosova, Remzi was known throughout his life for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and deep loyalty to those he loved. Though soft-spoken, his words carried weight and purpose.

He found joy in life’s simplest pleasures—a good laugh, a shared meal, time spent with loved ones. Those who knew him remember a man who was steady, principled, and proud. He didn’t seek attention, but his presence spoke volumes. He led by example, and in his company, you always felt a sense of calm and safety.

Since the 1990s, Remzi was a dedicated advocate for the Albanian diaspora, making meaningful contributions to social, cultural, and national organizations in service of unity, integration, and the well-being of Albanians in America.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mia Dautaj, and his children.

Though he left us too soon, the legacy he leaves behind—his strength, his love, and the quiet wisdom he shared—will remain with us always.
