Anthony “Tony” Premaco, Jr.,80, of Bernardsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at HollyManor Center in Mendham where he had resided for the past 8 years.
Anyone who remembers Tony knows that he was a permanent “fixture” at the Bernardsville train station where he waved at everyone and gave “directions” to those who didn’t know him. We can only imagine how many people got lost with his help!
Tony’s greatest passions were the Bernardsville Fire Department and the Bernardsville Rescue Squad.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Premaco of Bernardsville and a brother, Peter, and his wonderful sister, who cared and loved him deeply, Phyllis (Premaco) Anderson.
Tony is survived by his niece, Cindy Martin of Middletown, CT, and his nephew Brian Emory Martin and his wife Ashley as well as two adorable and wonderful great nephews Brian Emory Martin, Jr. and Charles William Martin of Berlin, CT., who Tony loved to Zoom with twice a month.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 from 10:00 – 11:00am. Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge, NJ.
