Obituary of Wendy Dawn Harms
Wendy “Nenny” Dawn Harms, while peacefully asleep, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2025. A beautiful soul, she was born on May 26, 1972, and was the youngest of four children. Wendy grew up in Bernardsville, NJ and graduated from Bernards High School as well as Somerset County VoTech for Cosmetology where she won an award for the most unique hairstyle. She immediately became a talented successful and sought after hair stylist for many years.
Family and friends were very important to Wendy so she spent many of her vacations over the years traveling to visit them. She went to North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, Illinois and California twice to name a few. She was a lover of nature and music and enjoyed attending concerts. Wendy was a kind and gentle person with a big heart of gold and always put others before herself her entire life. She was an extremely creative person and in her most recent project she was designing special jewelry to sell in which all proceeds were going to be donated to Childhood Cancer Research. In addition, she was the sole caretaker for her elderly mother for the last five years.
Wendy leaves behind her mother, Janet, two sisters Debbie and Donna, a sister-in-law Rebekah, a beloved nephew and four nieces, a lifetime friend Stephen, and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter H. Harms, Jr., and her brother, Walter “Wally” Harms. There will be a Celebration of Life for Wendy handled by Gallaway and Crane of Basking Ridge, NJ on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11 am to 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand (Childhood Cancer Research) to continue Wendy’s mission to eliminate Childhood Cancer.
