Lois A Conley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois Ann Conley. A cherished wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and proud great grandmother, who was called home into the arms of the Lord, on February 20, 2025 at the age of 85 years old. Lois passed away peacefully at her home in Basking Ridge NJ, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 29, 1939, in New York City to loving parents, she was the only daughter among four children. Now reunited with her parents and two brothers, her love continues to live on in the hearts of those who remain. Lois's legacy is carried forward by her four beloved sons David, Michael, Terence, and Christopher; and their wives, JoJo, Kellie, Barbara, and Nancy (respectively); 10 cherished grandchildren, and 4 precious great grandchildren, as well as her nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Lois is also lovingly remembered by her youngest brother.

Growing up in Chelsea, New York City, Lois' early years were spent forming her deep faith, life long friendships, and meeting the absolute love of her life, Jack. Lois was an energetic and talented woman with an artistic eye for fashion and interior design. Her skills and creativity were often displayed through her elegant wardrobe choices and tasteful room appointments. Lois's attention to detail was greatly admired by her daughters in law, who lovingly dubbed her "The Accessorizer". With her sharp intellect, Lois developed a strong business acumen - making her a valued collaborator in the Health Care, Financial and Legal fields.

As a devoted Catholic, Lois always celebrated her faith; first, throughout the formative years of her youth at St. Bernard's Church in Chelsea; later, while raising her family at Our Lady of Grace Church in Howard Beach; and finally, here at St. James Church in Basking Ridge, NJ, her home since 2018. Whether in New York, New Jersey or Florida, Lois was always an active participant and vibrant member of her church and community, no matter where she called home.

As matriarch of the Conley family, she demonstrated by example all the qualities of success to four generations. The respected role model of daughter, sister, friend, mother, mother- in-law, most beloved Nanny, and of course wife. The original Mrs. Conley.

Beside her always, and usually holding her hand, would be her childhood sweetheart, best friend and lifelong companion, Jack. Together, they would forge a marriage of 65 years, and a romance for eternity.

Lois leaves an enduring legacy of love, faith, and family that blesses us all. A continuous blessing that will live on for generations, through all of us.

May she rest in Eternal Peace
