John Friery Obituary
John R. Friery passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at the NJ Firemen’s Home in Boonton, NJ. Beloved husband of Flora Friery and devoted dad to Catherine Vindici.
He is survived by his wife Flora Friery, daughter, Catherine Vindici, son in law, Richard Vindici, grandchildren, Richard, Joseph, and Jacqueline, and his nephew, Willie McCall
John was a dedicated Newark fireman and achieved the rank of Captain in 1972. John’s extraordinary life was defined by his strong faith in God, and his love, kindness and compassion for others. His greatest treasure was his family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 9-10:45 am at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am at Saint James Roman Catholic Church, 184 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ.
