Obituary of Linda A Saalfield
Linda Saalfield, 75, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 26th from pancreatic cancer.
Linda was born to Louis & Stephanie Kibler of Kearny, NJ, where she grew up with her sister Patti. She is survived by her sister Patti Stone, loving partner John Santo, her son and daughter in law Luke and Jessica Saalfield, and her two grandchildren Arlo and Jolene. She also leaves behind her two nieces and their families Jennifer, Dennis, Ellie and Christopher Camacho and Jessica, Scott, Leah, and Marley Fieldman.
Linda was a lifelong educator, spending most of her career at Liberty Corner School. She was dedicated to her job and loved what she did; she made lifelong friends from her time working at the school.
She was deeply devoted to her family, with some of her greatest joy coming from her two grandchildren, and her great nephew and 3 great nieces. She loved traveling and experiencing new places with those she loved, especially with her partner John and her sister Patti. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home in Basking Ridge on Friday, January 31st from 4-7pm. A Catholic mass will follow on Saturday, February 1 at 12:30pm at St. James church in Basking Ridge. A luncheon will follow at the Grain House Restaurant in Basking Ridge. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Linda’s name to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey (VNACJ), the Heal Foundation, or to any charity of meaning to you.
