Obituary of Jane Abbate

Jane Kelly Dunne Abbate, 96, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Saturday August 15, 2020 at 10:00am. Private Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. She graduated from Oak Knoll School and Rosemont College, where she earned a degree in mathematics. She was an elementary school teacher for 24 years. After retiring, Jane enjoyed traveling, and was an active volunteer with Rotary International - earning her a Paul Harris Fellow. Jane is survived by her sister Joan; five children Jane, William, Ruth, Eileen and Karin; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
