Obituary of Madalyn Stanton

Madalyn Joy (nee Pugh) Stanton, 82, of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away on June 26, 2015 at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge. Memorial Service will be held at Fellowship Hall, 6000 Fellowship Road, Basking Ridge, NJ on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tim Gahles officiating. Madalyn was born in Zainesville, OH to Jesse and Violet Pugh on September 21 1932. She attended high school in West Liberty, WV, graduating in 1951. She then went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1955 with a Bachelor in Nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ from 1972 until her retirement in 1997. Madalyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert O. Stanton who also resides at Fellowship Village, her four children Carolyn (Pollack), Diana, Tom and David, her sisters Barbara (Daniel), Eleanor (St. Clair) and her six grandchildren, Jason (Hoffman), Kevin, Emily and Kerry (Justich), Dan (Della Badia) and Matthew. She is proceeded in death by her parents, and her sister Roberta (Burkhalter). Memorial donations may be made to Overlook Foundation 36 Upper Overlook Rd, P.O. Box 220 Summit, NJ 07902.
