Obituary of Edward Wollmuth

Edward Hale Wollmuth November 28, 1938 – February 19, 2015 Edward was the beloved husband of Judith Metzger Wollmuth, whom he married in 1960. He was raised in Kenmore, New York by his parents, Edward Hale and Elizabeth Wollmuth. Ed was the loving father of David H. Wollmuth and Karen Wollmuth Short, and a loving grandfather to six grandchildren, John, Charles, Grace, Carly and Julie Wollmuth, and Carter Short. A longtime resident of Buffalo, he served as a tank commander in the U.S. Army reserve. Ed began his business career in 1956 as an apprentice draftsman with the Worthington Corporation. He left there in 1976 to join Goulds Pumps, where he served in executive engineering positions of increasing authority until his retirement in 2000. In addition to his family, Ed loved aviation, railroads, and the Buffalo Bills. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, at St. James Church in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
