Obituary of William A Musso

William A. “Bill” Musso, age 86, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his son’s home surrounded by family on April 24, 2018.

Bill was born on July 18, 1931 in Long Island, NY to parents William and Anna Musso.  Bill served in the Navy during the Korean conflict and after serving graduated with a Bachelors’ degree from Bryant College. He married his wife of 61 years, Cynthia and together they raised three children.  Bill worked for many years as Vice President at Matthew Bender, a publishing firm in Manhattan.  He retired and spent many years as Director of Community Services in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Bill was a loving husband, father and brother and was a generous man when it came to taking care of his extended family.  Many family members thought of him as their “Dad”.  Bill loved to ski and sail, a good Bourbon Old Fashioned and a few jokes, and enjoyed spending time with loved ones at his Cape Cod residence. 

Bill is survived by his wife Cynthia, daughter Corinne (Al), son Donald (Lisa), son Steven (Dana), sister Carol Musso Bayly Schweiger (Otto), 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his K-9 companion Sheeba. 

There will be a Catholic Mass at St. Pius X church in Loudonville, NY on May 11, 2018 for anyone wishing to attend.  Bill will be buried after in a private ceremony.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills.
