Obituary of Harry "Bunker" Hill

Harry S. "Bunker" Hill, 87, of Long Valley passed away peacefully at Holly Manor Nursing Home, Mendham, NJ. Harry was born in Bernardsville, NJ and moved to Far Hills where he lived for 35 years before settling in Long Valley. He served in the United Sates Army during the Korean Conflict. Harry took a job as a caretaker for the Chapin Estate in Bernardsville for 35 years before retiring. When Harry retired he loved to spend his free time gambling, stock car racing, and going to local diners. The one thing he loved the most was to spend time with his family and his grandchildren. Harry is survived by his loving wife Ellen of 63 years. His three children Marilyn Masatis and husband Bill of Long Valley, Wayne Hill and wife Cris of Long Valley, Cindy Riley and husband Patrick of Bernardsville. His eleven grandchildren, Thomas, Robert, Stephanie, Carrie, Brandy, Misty, Allie, Ava, Nichol, Amanda, and Patrick. He is also survived by his brother Frankie Hill. Harry is predeceased by his daughter Debbie Wilson in 2012 and his son David Litwin in 2008. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 11:00am at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 95 Mt.
