Alan Richard Johnson who was adoringly referred to as "Dad, Ricky or RJ" passed away suddenly with the love of his life by his side at 12:33am on December 8th, 2017 at the young age of 57. Ricky grew up in Basking Ridge and has lived and raised his family in Bernardsville for the past 30 years. He was the owner of RJ Landscaping, and would often be seen around town in his white truck with his future son-in law by his side. His customers adored him and treated him much like a son. There was not a person whose path he crossed that did not love and admire him. His big infectious smile lit up any room he walked into.
Ricky was preceded in death by his wonderful father Richard Alan Johnson. Rick often referred to this, "As the day he lost his best friend." He is survived by his loving mother Lois Frankoski Johnson of Basking Ridge who is known to her as "her favorite son". His three beautiful children who were his world, Brittany Johnson and fiancé Marco Casimiro, Richard and Alan Johnson all of Bernardsville. His grandson Marc Casimiro. Sister Debbie Johnson Forgione and her husband Howard Forgione of Bernardsville, many nieces nephews and cousins. His dear Aunt Evelyn Story of Millington. His very best friend Gary Boeck of Bedminster. And most importantly, the love of his life and fiancé Monica Aerstin of Bernardsville. His whole family was looking forward to seeing them spend the rest of their lives together living happily ever after.
