He was active in Church and community, and served as Warden and Vestry President at St. John's Episcopal Church, and President of the Ramsey Board of Education. Jack and Ginny enjoyed 63 years of marriage. She preceded him in death September 9, 2015, as did two of their children who died in accidents, dear Diana (1956-1973) and dear William (1959-1978). He is survived by his loving daughter Jennifer Gale (Thomas) and adoring grandchildren Virginia and William. He is also survived by his devoted sister Suzanne Traub (the late Edward), and was fond brother of the late Sallie Simm (the late Roy). He was beloved uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed skiing, tennis, wildlife, photography, and travel. He suffered a stroke in 1995 which severely limited his speech and mobility.
