Anne Ingal passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Warren, New Jersey.
Anne was born on August 25, 1932 as the seventh of nine children in an immigrant Sicilian family. Anne grew up in Astoria, Queens where she met her husband Robert Ingal. In 1956 Anne and Bob wed and began to raise their two children, Susan and Robert in Norwood, NJ and eventually West Hempstead, NY where an abundance of Anne's family lived.
Family time was extremely important to Anne. When she and Bob retired in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, they kept many of their traditions alive. Sunday night dinners were never skipped, opera music was always playing, and hugs and kisses were always given. Laughter, tears and yelling were definitely plentiful at the Ingal household as well. Anne was a loyal member to St. James Church and an advanced shopper at the Short Hills Mall where she regularly spoiled her grandchildren and made many unwarranted returns.
Anne was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin and dear friend to many lucky people. Her generosity, humor and fierce loyalty to her loved ones is the eternal bond that keeps her family together. Her sweet giggle and loving smile will sorely be missed but never forgotten.
Anne is survived by her son Robert Ingal, her son-in-law David, her sister Gloria, and her eight grandchildren: Alex, Sam, Madison, Veronica, Claire, Eve, Caroline, and Hannah.
